| His Mercy As a father pities his children so the Father pities us, For He knows our frame, He remembers we are dust. As for man, his days are like grass, as a flower so he flourishes, For the wind blows and soon,the flower is gone. And even its place knows it no more. But the mercy and loving kindness of God are forever and forever unto those who fear and trust in Him. And we can be reborn to life not by mortal seed alone but by the ever-living Word of God. And His Righteousness endures forever, from generation to generation for all who keep His commandments. The Father will feed His flock like a shepherd gently leading. He will gather the lambs and hold them in His bosom. And though the grass may wither and the flower fade away, The Word of God will stand forever. |
