America Medly for Brass, Percussion with Narration America Medley 2015 is a patriotic medley for brass quartet (or quintet) with narration and optional percussion and an invitation for the congregation to sing the last two songs. The medley begins with a fanfare introduction and America the Beautiful followed by The Battle Hymn of the Republic. Battle Hymn is played softly while the narrator recites the seldom heard second verse of The Star Spangled Banner. By the time the last line of the verse is read the listeners will begin to realize this is our national anthem, and that is timed to coincide with the start of the Battle Hymn chorus which has The Star Spangled Banner theme subtly worked into it while the final verse is narrated. At the finish of Battle Hymn there is a drum roll (optional), and the narrator invites the listeners to stand and sing the National Anthem with the brass. The fanfare theme that connects the medley tunes comes back once more and leads into “God Bless America” for everybody to sing while they’re already standing and singing! The brass parts are easy enough for most high school level players. Your download comes complete with score and parts for brass, percussion and narrator/singer. Everything is neatly indexed in the Bookmarks tab in your Adobe AcrobatReader. |
